At Kagome Australia, traceability is more than a quality requirement. It’s a commitment. From Australian farms to our manufacturing facility in Echuca, we stay connected throughout the journey from source to processing.
Every tomato and carrot we process is Australian grown and transformed into quality ingredients at our Echuca facility. Through advanced technology, local farming partnerships and vertically integrated processing, we can track every batch and trace each finished lot back to the farm and field where it was grown.

Every Kagome tomato (and carrot) begins its journey in growing regions across northern Victoria and southern New South Wales. Once harvested, the produce travels directly to our Echuca facility, where it is transformed into a wide range of quality ingredients and foodservice solutions, including tomato paste, diced tomatoes, ready-to-use sauces and condiments, powders, fibres, concentrates and natural oils.
Our locally integrated supply chain allows Kagome to maintain visibility and control from paddock to finished product, giving customers greater confidence in provenance, product quality and food safety.
Unlike imported ingredients that may pass through multiple countries, ports and handlers, our produce is grown and processed locally. This shorter, more connected journey means fewer handovers, clearer traceability and less exposure to international freight delays and supply-chain disruption.

Our traceability journey begins at harvest. Our harvesting fleet uses advanced tracking technology to record exactly when and where produce is harvested. GPS positioning and RFID identification systems digitally connect each load to its harvest location, date and grower information. This creates a precise record from the moment of harvest, allowing the produce to be tracked from the field onwards.

As trucks pass across our weighbridge, RFID technology, camera systems and AI-powered verification tools capture and validate incoming loads. This provides another layer of traceability and quality assurance before the produce enters processing.
Every lot is then tracked through unloading, storage, processing and packaging. Information captured throughout the journey remains connected to the finished production lot, creating a clear chain of custody from farm to product.

This end-to-end visibility allows Kagome Australia to trace every finished lot from the end of the production line back to the individual farm and harvest event that supplied it.
By entering a lot number, customers can identify where the produce was grown, when it was harvested and how it moved through our supply chain before becoming a finished ingredient.
This level of transparency supports food safety, quality assurance and supply chain confidence, while maintaining a clear connection between our Australian growers, our Echuca facility and our customers.
In today’s food industry, knowing where ingredients come from has never been more important.
Kagome Australia’s investment in local farming, advanced harvest technology and end-to-end digital traceability means every tomato and carrot we process can be traced with confidence. From seed to harvest, field to facility and processing line to finished product, every step is recorded, verified and connected.
Australian-grown produce. Local capability. A clear connection to the source. That’s Kagome’s Home Ground Advantage.
